Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Sr. Engineering Lab Technician to lead engineering tests, oversee lab operations, and mentor junior staff. The role requires strong electronics/mechatronics skills, hands-on tooling, and experience with lab equipment calibration and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a technical field and 7–10 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with extensive experience.
• Strong fundamentals in electronics, AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, pneumatics and controllers.
• Mechatronics experience combining mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical components.
• Ability to solder and wire components.
• Excellent problem-solving, organization and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, execution and analysis of engineering tests including prototyping and performance assessments.
• Oversee daily lab operations, including equipment calibration, inventory and 6s standards.
• Collect, document and analyze test data and communicate findings to the engineering team.
• Mentor junior technicians and interns on practices, safety and technical skills.
• Diagnose and resolve lab equipment issues and maintain preventive maintenance.
• Assemble/wire bench top solutions and production electrical control panels.
• Contribute to testing improvements and automation development.

Education

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic/Automation/Mechanical
