Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a Senior Engineering Lab Technician to lead advanced testing, data analysis, and setup of bench-top and production-oriented experiments. You will mentor junior staff, oversee calibration, and ensure safety and accuracy in a fast-paced lab environment.

You will collaborate with engineers on prototyping, controller systems, and sensors integration, contributing to design validation and continuous improvement initiatives with hands-on fabrication and instrumentation expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a technical field; 7–10 years' experience or HS diploma with extensive experience.
• Strong fundamentals in electronics, AC/DC, motors, sensors, pneumatics, and controllers.
• Proven hands-on mechanical and electrical skills; able to solder and wire components.
• Familiar with safety standards like NFPA79 or EN60204-1; capable of using lab tools.
• Experience with data collection systems, sensors integration, and lab equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, execution and analysis of engineering tests including prototyping and material evaluations.
• Oversee daily lab operations: calibration, inventory, 6S, and safety compliance.
• Collect and analyze test data with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and DAQ systems; report findings.
• Mentor junior technicians and interns; drive best practices and technical skills.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on lab equipment; diagnose issues.
• Assemble/wire experimental bench top solutions and wire control panels from schematics.
