Job summary
BlueScope North America is seeking a Sr Engineering Application Solutions Specialist to serve as a technical SME for engineering applications such as Vision, Tekla, Autodesk, and RISA. You will troubleshoot complex issues, coordinate solutions across Engineering, Manufacturing and IT, and support system enhancements.
The role includes testing, releases, bug resolution, process improvements, training, and mentoring, with a focus on standardization and data quality to improve engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of business related experience in lieu of degree.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Analysis and troubleshooting experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical support resource for at least two complex engineering applications.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and improve workflows.
- Participate in testing, upgrades, releases, bug resolution, and implementation activities to ensure reliable performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering efficiency, standardization, automation, and data quality.
- Mentor team members and users on engineering application functionality and best practices.
- Ensure service requests, incidents, and defects are documented, communicated, and resolved promptly.
