Job summary

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks a Principal Engineering Applications Developer to guide design, development, and implementation of complex business and engineering applications in Wichita, Kansas. You will set standards, mentor developers, and translate complex requirements into technical strategies while solving challenging problems.

You will work with management and stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable software solutions across aircraft programs, with onsite work at our Wichita facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related fields as stated.
• A minimum of 13 years experience in aerospace, government, legal, engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Advanced analytical reporting experience and demonstrable communications and computer skills.
• Authorized to Work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develops new software and improves existing software based on customer requirements.
• Participates in solution design, requirements gathering, and backlog refinement processes.
• Designs, implements and documents new platform technologies including best patterns and engineering practices.
• Leads technical aspects of major projects and ensures quality of execution and results.
• Provides technical leadership within projects and delegates complex tasks to teams.

Education

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical), Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics.
