Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas is seeking a Senior Stress Engineer to join the Engineering team on the Wichita campus. You will perform complex static analyses on aircraft primary structures, collaborate with design and fatigue teams, and contribute to high strength-to-weight solutions across Airbus products.

This role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and technical excellence in a global aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and mechanics of materials.
• 9 years total experience in static stress analysis with airframe structures.
• Authorized to Work in the US.
• Working knowledge of Airbus Structures.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously perform complex analyses to verify structural integrity requirements.
• Document analyses in support of trade studies or airframe structures sign-off.
• Liaise with Design and Fatigue to develop optimum design solutions.
• Mentor and provide leadership to less experienced structural analysts.
• Lead preparation of complex technical material and presentation packages.
