Job summary

Eversource seeks an experienced electrical/telecom engineer to plan, coordinate, and perform assignments for distribution automation telecommunication systems.

You will ensure wireless data networks support SCADA data apps in the operating areas, collaborate to select data protocols, and troubleshoot the distribution automation network with Field Communications.

This on-site role in Westwood, MA requires a BS in electrical or telecom engineering and 5+ years in wireless SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
• Experience with wireless SCADA data telecommunications infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and perform engineering assignments for distribution automation telecom systems.
• Ensure wireless data networks support SCADA data applications across operating areas for Eversource.
• Collaborate with senior staff to select data communications protocols, technologies, products and services.
• Collaborate with Field Communications to troubleshoot and build the distribution automation network.
• Contribute to the configuration and specification of SCADA data wireless telecom equipment and interfaces to RTU devices.
• Troubleshoot events on the distribution system where a field device communication impacts remote operations.
