Job summary

Gresham Smith in Cincinnati is seeking a Senior Engineer (Conveyance) to lead water and wastewater projects in the Water + Environment Market. You will direct planning, design, and execution, advancing pump stations, pipelines, and storage facilities while maintaining schedule and budget.

Responsibilities include hydraulic modeling, design calculations, reports, and client coordination. You will mentor staff, review drawings, and ensure technical integrity and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field.
P.E. licensure required.
15 years of experience leading water/wastewater conveyance projects.
Strong design experience for water/wastewater systems, pipelines, pump stations, storage.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and evaluation of conveyance and utility projects including relocations.
Conduct hydraulic modeling for conveyance systems.
Prepare design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
Manage project delivery from planning through construction with quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
Support construction with field visits, submittal reviews, and contractor coordination.
Maintain client relationships and communicate project goals to stakeholders.
Review drawings, research codes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Serve as Engineer-of-Record or Technical Advisor to ensure integrity and compliance.
Mentor technical staff and engineers.
