Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Senior Engineer, Systems Engineering for the C909 program. You will lead requirements, test cases, system verification, and act as the integrator for avionics solutions with direct customer interface.

The role requires strong expertise in IMA/IPS, avionics subsystems, and flight-test facilities, plus experience with JIRA/DOORS/JAMA. Eligible non-US candidates must have work authorization in the U.S.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience as a Systems Engineer or in a related role.
• At least 3 years of experience with IMA and IPS System Level Developments.
• At least 3 years of experience with avionics and aircraft sub-systems.
• At least 3 years of experience operating avionics test facilities and flight test scenarios.
• At least 3 years of experience using JIRA, DOORS, JAMA.

Responsibilities

• Control the conformity of the Systems Integration Facility.

• In the alternative, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
• Must possess at least 3 years of experience with IMA and IPS System Level Developments.
• Must possess at least 3 years of experience with avionics and aircraft sub-systems.
• Must possess at least 3 years of experience operating Avionics test facilities (rigs and simulations) executing scripted and unscripted flight test scenarios.
• Must possess at least 3 years of experience with systems tools such as JIRA, DOORS, JAMA.
• Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.
• The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

Security Clearance Status: Not Required.

Salary range: $157,269.00 to $165,200.00 USD per year.
