Job summary

Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Principal Engineer, Systems Engineering to lead design and integration of avionics and cabin systems, ensuring requirements are met and validated across the development lifecycle.

You will analyze customer needs, perform system-level trade studies, manage interfaces, and coordinate across engineering teams to deliver reliable hardware and software solutions for aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field and 8+ years of progressive Embedded Systems experience.
• Experience capturing and analyzing customer Cabin Management System requirements.
• Experience in system design, planning, and coordination across multiple subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Innovate, design, develop and implement technologies to meet specifications and customer guarantees.
• Perform system-level analyses from concept to disposal, including verification and validation.
• Manage configuration, perform interface definitions and translate customer requirements into hardware/software specs.
