Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer/Principal Engineer - Survivability with experience in Low Observable (LO) technologies to work on radar cross section analysis and survivability for air-based systems. The role is based on-site in Melbourne, FL and involves multidisciplinary teamwork.

The candidate will analyze, design, and integrate LO solutions, leveraging expertise in electromagnetics, RCS tools, and CAD/CAE software, with opportunities for advanced research and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of related engineering experience, or Master’s with 0 years.
• Principal Engineer: Bachelor’s with 5 years or Master with 3 years; PhD with 1 year.
• Applied electromagnetics or aircraft survivability knowledge.
• Current U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher; ability to obtain SAP.

Responsibilities

• Develops and integrates technology to reduce aircraft detectability in the electromagnetic spectrum.
• Develops predictive analysis codes, builds models, and tests verification equipment.
• Collaborates with engineers across disciplines to optimize integration on aircraft.
