Job description

Position: Principal Engineer / Senior Principal Engineer – Survivability

Location: Melbourne, Florida.

We are seeking experienced Low Observable / Survivability Engineers to work on advanced materials and processes to enhance the survivability of defense systems. The role will involve research, technology development, and integration of survivability technologies into air-based systems within the NGAS portfolio.

Essential Duties
  • Develop and integrate advanced technology to reduce the detectability of aircraft in the electromagnetic spectrum.
  • Develop and implement predictive analysis codes; build and test physical models; design, develop, and build test and verification equipment; develop, test, and integrate specialty materials.
  • Work closely with engineers of other disciplines to optimize the integration of this technology on existing and future aircraft.

Full-time, on-site position. Remote/hybrid/telework not available. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Basic Qualifications
  • Principal Engineer (LV3): Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM and 3 years of related engineering experience.
  • Senior Principal Engineer (LV4): Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; or a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience.
  • Applied electromagnetics and/or aircraft survivability, or comprehensive understanding of electromagnetic energy transmission through space and materials.
  • Experience with one or more CAD software solutions such as CATIA, Unigraphics, or NX.
  • Ability to maintain a final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or enroll in Continuous Evaluation and obtain any required program access within a reasonable period.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in signature integration, RCS design, analysis, and testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CAE and/or FEA tools (e.g., FMS, Patran, Cubit).
  • Proven experience with 3D Method of Moments (MoM) such as SENTRi and 3D Physical Optics (PO) codes such as Xpatch.
  • Programming experience in C++, MATLAB, Python, or other technical languages.
  • Knowledge and use of RCS data processing tools such as Knowbell, Saber, or Pioneer.
  • Active U.S. Government issued Top Secret security clearance and/or previous SAP/SAR clearance.
Salary

Primary Level: $108,200 – $162,400. Secondary Level: $135,000 – $202,600. Salary is influenced by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions.

Benefits

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Annual bonuses reward contributions and company results.
