Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego, CA, seeks an experienced Low Observable Engineer/Principal Engineer - Survivability to lead RCS analysis and integration efforts on air-based systems within the NGAS portfolio.

The role requires an active U.S. Government in-scope Secret clearance, strong electromagnetics expertise, and proficiency with CAD/FEA tools. On-site work in San Diego with travel up to 10% and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

Education Experience Requirement: Engineer (LV2): Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM and 0 years of related engineering experience
Engineer (LV3): Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD and 1 years of related engineering experience
Active U.S. Government in-scope Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP

Responsibilities

Develops and integrates advanced technology to reduce the detectability of aircraft in the electromagnetic spectrum
Develops and implements predictive analysis codes; builds and tests physical models; designs, develops, and builds test and verification equipment; and develops, tests, and integrates specialty materials
Works closely with engineers of other disciplines to optimize the integration of this technology on existing and future aircraft
