If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer for Structual Steel and/or Reinforced Concrete Design.

This position is hybrid in nature at the discretion of the manager typically requiring 2-3 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation will be provided for this position. We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Support of design activities in structural steel and/or reinforced concrete design.


• Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Preparing drawing markups to support change packages
  
  
  • Authoring/reviewing calculations performed with analysis software or via hand calculations
  
  
  • Addressing technical issues related to the fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of a civil/structural project. This includes technical justification of design changes and at times requires troubleshooting of emergent technical issues.
  
  
  
  


• On-Site support at utilities and/or construction sites when required.


• Develop/mentor team members in the areas of structural design, use of FEA tools, etc.


• Apply an enhanced understanding of applicable industry civil/structural codes and standards (such as ACI, AISC, AWS).


• Develop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programs.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• 7+ years of experience required.

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering


• Professional Engineer license required

• Prior industry experience is a plus.
