Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Senior Engineer, Product in Van Wert, OH. This on-site role focuses on Aeroquip Fluid Conveyance products, leading engineering initiatives and cross-functional collaboration to improve performance, cost, and reliability.

You will drive design improvements, validate concepts, coordinate prototypes, and support global teams across the product lifecycle. A strong background in mechanical engineering and project leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or related Engineering field.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Within 50 miles of Van Wert, OH; relocation not available.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in product or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong knowledge of engineering analysis, problem-solving, testing, and documentation.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leadingcomplex engineering initiatives supporting existing Aeroquip Fluid Conveyance products, including technical support, cost-out activities, product dispositions, and design improvements
• Developingproduct designs by defining geometry, materials, concepts, and technical specifications while validating design decisions through engineering calculations and analysis
• Collaboratingwith cross-functional and global teams, including drafting resources and manufacturing partners, to coordinate prototypes, testing, and product implementation activities
• Applyingadvanced engineering tools, structured problem-solving methods, and performance analysis to resolve technical challenges and improve product reliability
• Managingmultiple engineering projects simultaneously while ensuring clear communication, technical reporting, milestone execution, and alignment across stakeholders
• Partnering with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, product management, and engineering teams to solve technical challenges and support business objectives
• Investigating product performance issues, evaluating root causes, and implementing engineering solutions that improve reliability, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Leading product improvement, cost reduction, and technical support projects for Aeroquip hydraulic hose products and related fluid conveyance solutions
• Reviewing test data, engineering analyses, and product requirements to make informed technical decisions and recommendations
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously while coordinating activities across global teams and maintaining alignment with key milestones

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree inMechanical, Materials, or related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
• Must be within 50 miles of the Van Wert, OH; Maumee, OH; or Mountain Home, AR facility. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in product engineering or manufacturing engineering within industrial or manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge ofengineering analysis, advanced problem-solving methodologies, product testing, and technical documentation.
• Experience leadingcomplex engineering projects, collaborating across functions, and supporting product improvement initiatives.
