Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions Segment in Utica, NY, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to become the primary technical partner to the Operations team. You will own the production processes that create our liquid-cooled solutions, on-site, on the factory floor, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality.

You will drive improvements, develop standard work, and collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Operations to maintain stable and capable processes and support product launches and changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field.
• Hands-on experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer in assembly/manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment setup and process control.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues using root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, quality systems, and ERP/MRP software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to technical expert for assigned production lines, providing hands-on support and troubleshooting for equipment, tooling, and process issues.
• Develop and maintain standard work, work instructions, and visual aids for safe and efficient production.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing data, leading root cause analyses, and identifying efficiency gains and waste reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance to improve uptime and ensure stable, capable processes.
• Support the launch of new products and engineering changes with ready-to-use processes and equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner closely with our Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve uptime, resolve technical challenges, and ensure our processes are stable and capable.
• Support the launch ofnew products and engineering changes, ensuring a smooth transition to the production floor with capable processes and ready‑to‑go equipment.

What We're Looking For

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• Hands‑on experience as aManufacturing or Process Engineer, preferably in an assembly, machining, or industrial product environment.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including tooling, equipment setup, and process control.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues usingroot cause analysisand other problem‑solving tools.
• Familiarity withLean manufacturing principles, quality systems, and ERP/MRP software.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, hands‑on approach to working with teams on the factory floor.
