Job summary

Tabbed Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of critical product and platform features.

Reporting to the CTO, this high-impact IC role focuses on owning delivery from concept through production, while upholding robust design, code quality, and execution in a payments + POS + location environment. You will design scalable systems, write clean code, and mentor others, partnering with product, operations, and business teams to deliver meaningful features with reliability

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Proven ability to own and deliver complex features or systems end-to-end.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern stacks (TypeScript, Node.js, APIs, cloud infrastructure).
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and CS fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of system design, scalability, performance, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Strong product and execution mindset with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from concept through deployment and iteration.
• Design and build scalable, reliable systems across backend, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Apply system design principles to maintainability, performance, and scalability.
• Write clean, well-tested code and uphold high quality standards.
• Drive technical direction and pragmatic decisions balancing speed and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and business teams to deliver impactful features.
• Identify and address risks across payments, POS integrations, and location systems.
• Improve development workflows, tooling, and engineering standards for velocity and quality.
• Contribute to code reviews, mentoring, and production reliability practices.
