Job summary

Tabs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on building out custom payments workflows and integrations with payment service providers. As an early-stage startup, you’ll shape the direction of Tabs and have a meaningful impact on our success.

You’ll lead payments systems design, collaborate with other engineering teams to deliver a frictionless billing and payments experience for merchants and customers, and push AI-driven automation across product and processes.

Qualifications

• You’ve built payments systems with at least a couple of PSPs.
• Led large, complex systems in fast-moving teams.
• Hands-on with modern languages and frameworks, not just theory.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Excited about AI and applying it to products and processes.
• Thrive in the early, undefined stage of problems and shape the answer.
• Enjoy mentoring peers and raising the technical bar.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive payments workflow projects across multiple PSPs.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to deliver frictionless revenue lifecycle experiences for merchants and customers.
• Apply AI to product automation and business processes to move the needle.
• Mentor teammates and shape the growing engineering culture as the team expands.
