GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas LLC seeks a Senior Engineer in Outage Engineering to develop and deliver tooling used during maintenance, inspection, refueling and outages at BWR and PWR reactors. You will design, analyze and test new tooling, coordinating with fabrication teams to meet customer needs worldwide.
The role emphasizes mechanical design, analysis, and mentoring, with eligibility for work in the U.S. and occasional travel to domestic and international site locations.
A Senior Engineer in Outage Engineering will develop and deliver Outage Servicing Tools and Equipment that are used during maintenance, inspection, Senior Engineer to support Outage Engineering for GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy's (GVH) customers. Develop and deliver Outage Servicing Tools and Equipment that are used during maintenance, inspection, refueling and outages in both Boiling Water Reactors (BWR) and Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) at domestic and international Nuclear Plants. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, analysis and testing of new products and technology to meet customer needs and overcome complex technical challenges.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university At least 8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and/or machine design experience
The work location for this role is at the GVH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC Ability to obtain commercial nuclear site entry. Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally to other GE Vernova locations, vendors, and customer sites as necessary. This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to U.S. export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of U.S. person status prior to employment.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
