Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Nuclear Outage Services Leader to join our Nuclear Services Execution organization. In this role, you will be accountable for the P&L and operational success of our Outage Services business. You will lead a large, multidisciplinary team to execute approximately 24 domestic and international nuclear outages annually, driving financial performance, technical excellence, and long-term product strategy.

Job Description Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the planning and execution of ~24 legacy/installed base nuclear outages per year, ensuring strict adherence to cost, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Financial Accountability: Own the Outage Services P&L, managing financial performance and driving profitability for the integrated Field Services Delivery Team.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a large, complex organization of approximately 150 employees, including ~12 direct‑reports (Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Support Craft Labor).
  • Strategic Growth: Define and own the lifecycle strategy for all Outage Services product lines, including 4 Inspection Services and 4 BWR maintenance lines.
  • Commercial Leadership: Oversee commercial operations input during the ITO (Inquiry-to-Order) and OTR (Order-to-Remittance) phases to ensure proposal accuracy, staffing, and tooling readiness.
  • External Representation: Serve as a key industry leader, engaging with groups such as BWRVIP and the BWR Inspection Focus group, and fostering deep relationships with customer NDE teams.
  • Innovation: Champion productivity improvements and the implementation of new tooling and technology to maintain our competitive edge in the nuclear industry.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 10+ years’ experience in the nuclear industry with roles of increasing complexity OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least 15 years of experience in the nuclear industry with roles of increasing complexity.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with Nuclear Maintenance Projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience overseeing P&L, budgeting, and financial performance.
Eligibility Requirements
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% domestically and internationally as dictated by business need to GE Vernova, Vendor and customer locations.
  • The work location of this position is at Headquarters in Wilmington, NC.
  • Ability to obtain unescorted access to Nuclear Plants including required access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb and descend 10 flights of stairs twice per day.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical.
  • Ability to pass Fitness For Duty requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strategic Impact: Proven ability to influence organizational direction and manage large‑scale budgets and revenue streams.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated expertise in interpretive thinking and complex judgment; must be capable of identifying, analyzing, and executing countermeasures for critical technical and commercial challenges.
  • Business Expertise: Deep knowledge of nuclear industry trends and competitor landscapes. Ability to leverage this intelligence to drive GE Vernova’s technological and service‑delivery advantages.
  • Customer Engagement: Credible customer relationships and experience engaging with multiple levels of the customer to include Plant Manger, Site VP and Chief Nuclear Officer are preferred.
  • Leadership: Experience managing large, complex organizations with senior‑level direct reports. Exceptional ability to prioritize in volatile, high‑volume environments.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Superior communication skills; highly proficient in negotiating complex customer contracts and building long‑term external partnerships.

This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export‑controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes. For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $140,300.00 and $233,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
