GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas LLC seeks a Senior Services Project Manager – Inspections to lead field projects for Nuclear Inspection Services across domestic and international sites.
The role reports to the Inspection Services Director and requires coordinating with business leaders to plan scope, budget, and schedule, while ensuring integrity, safety, quality, and timely delivery at customer outages. Travel up to 60% is expected, with remote work options for qualified candidates.
The Senior Services Project Manager – Inspections will be responsible for the execution of projects associated with Nuclear Inspection Services within GVH. In this role, the individual will work within the Services division of GVH to manage field projects for the different Inspections product lines (IVVI, IVUT, Drywell) at customer power plant outages to facilitate project delivery. The individual will report to the Inspection Services Director and will work to coordinate with business leaders to plan and execute project work scopes to meet required criteria (Integrity, Safety, Quality, Output) as they relate to project budget, schedule, and scope.
Areas of responsibility will primarily serve Inspection Services processes, procedures, and guidelines to include but not be limited to executing both domestic and international field project delivery as well as internal project support as needed. Develop specialized knowledge in reference to forming stakeholder relations for project execution. Has awareness of latest technical developments as well as obsolescent offerings in Inspection Services; Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area(s) of responsibility. Has in‑depth knowledge of best practices and how own area(s) integrate with others; Has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Use of judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in area(s) of responsibility. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Use of technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Use of multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and to build consensus. Provide technical direction and guidance to contracted and craft labor in support of performing services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. Aid and input business leads during ITO (Inquiry to Order) phase of process for proposal development. Ensure project metrics are met while delivering agreed upon contractual expectations for customers or procedural expectations internally. Project closure and review, both internal and external as depicted by stakeholders; Proper storage and turnover of data/information to business‑approved storage medium for business and project continuity.
Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 Years of Nuclear Industry experience) AND 3 Years of Nuclear‑related Project Management experience or 5 Years of STEM‑related Project Management experience AND Domestic and International Project Support – The ability to maintain access to and execute domestic or international project delivery.
Ability and willingness to travel 60% of the time (To include 12 Hours Daily/7 Days a week while travelling). Ability to maintain Unescorted Access to and on customers’ site/property. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
The preferred work location for this role is at the GVH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified remote candidates will be considered.
PMI/PMP Certification. Demonstrated leadership of field teams working at customer sites. Strong strategic development and execution skills. Proven leadership capabilities with ability to motivate others and achieve results. Strong customer‑centric approach while remaining grounded in business values and strategies. Knowledge of Nuclear / Energy products, processes, customers, markets, and competition. Strong technical knowledge / experience in working with PWR ISI, including in‑vessel, drywell, and BOP ISI techniques. Developed experience with varying software utilized for internal process (Including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Oracle ERP, PLM, Primavera P6). This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export‑controlled information from the U.S. Government.
