CTLGroup seeks a Senior Engineer & Office Director to lead our New York office. This dual role combines high-level technical leadership with strategic business development, overseeing projects, mentoring staff, and representing the firm in the NY market.

The position requires PE license in NY, a civil/structural engineering background, and 10+ years of leadership experience in the AEC industry. Competitive compensation is offered with bonuses and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's preferred.
• PE license in New York is required.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering and leadership experience in AEC.
• Proven track record in managing projects and developing clients.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to balance technical work with office management and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and review design and engineering work on civil/structural projects.
• Ensure technical accuracy, quality control, and compliance with local codes.
• Provide guidance on complex engineering challenges as SME.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Direct daily operations of the New York office.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff in engineering and admin roles.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture and growth.
• Implement policies, procedures, and initiatives at the office level.
• Build and maintain client relationships to support repeat business.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in NY region.
• Represent the firm at events and professional organizations.
• Prepare proposals, qualifications packages, and client presentations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)

Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York

10+ years of engineering/leadership experience in AEC

Proven track record in project management and client development
