Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, practices and safety standards in engineering disciplines.
• 8 years of engineering-related experience; Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and applies solutions to a broad range of technical issues; decisions impact overall performance.
• Prepares complex engineering plans, analyses, designs, cost estimates, and evaluations.
• Integrates interrelated elements of large projects; ensures compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
• Interfaces with customers and departments to align objectives with scope, budget and schedule.
• Provides technical guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers.
• Assists in problem solving, develops long-range strategies, and engages with outside agencies or regulators as needed.
• Plans and coordinates programs or large projects as a technical specialist in a field.
• Monitors projects and recommends modifications to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Researches new developments and technologies for potential adoption.
• May supervise contractors, review documentation, and manage contract aspects.
