Job summary

ATI is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead and optimize hot working processes for manufacturing Nickel, Titanium, and Specialty Steel products. You’ll apply your Metallurgical or Materials Science & Engineering background to improve process efficiency, product quality, and safety while supporting development and standardization of new products and processes.

Qualifications

B.S. in Metallurgical, Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering.
Preference for advanced degrees in metals-focused fields.
Experience with cast-wrought processing and thermomechanical processing preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and optimize post-melt processes including open die forging, radial forging, and hot rolling.
Develop and maintain metallurgical expertise in Nickel, Titanium, and Specialty Steel alloys.
Lead cross-functional programs to improve yield, cost, and cycle time.
Resolve non-conformances and reduce scrap; support audits and quality standards.
Apply thermo-mechanical modeling to evaluate and improve products and processes.
