Southern Star Court Management Corp. in Austin seeks a hands-on Hotel Engineer to assist the Director of Engineering, supervising Level 1–3 technician staff and performing advanced maintenance to ensure all hotel systems operate smoothly and guest experiences remain exceptional.

You will log daily activities, coordinate with departments, uphold safety procedures, and maintain equipment in guest areas and back-of-house spaces to deliver outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Engineering to oversee Level 1–3 Engineer Techs.
• Perform advanced maintenance to keep hotel systems fully functional and guest experience optimal.
• Review PM schedules, log tasks, and complete daily sign-ins for relevant rooms and areas.
• Handle safety and compliance, including chemical handling and PPE usage.
• Report shift activities and completed tasks to the Director of Engineering.

Performing advanced maintenance to keep all aspects of the Hotel at fully functionality and provide the best Guest experience.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONSOperational ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Director of engineering to keep engineering staff in compliance. Review Engineering staff’s progress of PM rooms and tasks completed during the day. Handle advanced maintenance requests. Paint, repair, clean and perform filter replacements, belt inspections for the HVAC machines, keep logs and daily sign in inspections for boiler rooms, Laundry rooms, and ensure that pools have the appropriate dosage of chemicals for the pool and laundry rooms.
