Job summary

Valencia Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Caravan Court to respond to guest maintenance requests and perform preventative work in rooms and public areas. The role requires familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems, with opportunities for cross-training and department collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in hotel maintenance, solid communication, teamwork, and an ability to handle tools and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel maintenance experience, minimum 2 years.
• No minimum education requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team and maintain attention to detail.
• Intermediate knowledge of power tools and general maintenance.
• Lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
• Non-exempt, on-site position.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance guest requests and perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• Familiar with door entry systems, small and large appliances, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, refrigeration, and fire systems.
• Anticipate and attend to guest needs; be proactive in service.
• Attend department meetings, participate in cross-training, and complete trainings.
• Log maintenance work in relevant platforms and run reports; hand off reports and checklists.
• Ensure safety and security guidelines are followed.
