Baker Hughes in Houston, TX is seeking a Sr. Engineer – Lower Completions to design and support lower completion tools worldwide. You will execute engineering tasks, develop 3D CAD models, perform analyses, and participate in product validation and field support.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering degree and 10+ years in design or sustaining engineering, with hands-on lab work and strong communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/engineering technology is required.
• 10+ years in design engineering or sustaining engineering.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 3D CAD software experience with SolidWorks.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly in a test lab.

Responsabilidades

• Execute engineering activities for new, modified, and existing Lower Completions products.
• Perform design activities including 3D CAD design, layouts, calculations, and drawings.
• Conduct component and system analyses to identify risks and solutions.
• Lead design reviews and collaborate to improve product designs.
• Design qualification testing fixtures and write detailed test procedures.
• Assist in assembly and lab testing of prototypes.
• Draft technical manuals for new products for supervisor review.
• Provide technical assistance to global field operations and plants.
• Assist in project planning with development time and cost estimates.
• Manage design stages from concept through validation.
