Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Sr Engineer I-Product/Test to support complex electronic assembly validation and verification, including test architecture, qualification, troubleshooting, and production scaling.

The role requires 5-7.5 years of relevant experience in electronics product engineering and testing, with hands-on lab work and cross-functional collaboration across design, manufacturing, and quality. Candidates must be U.S. citizens eligible for EAR/ITAR access.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
• 5-7.5 years of relevant background in electronics and test engineering, automated test equipment, test hardware or programs, production test, statistical analysis, or similar experience.
• Equivalent advanced technical background in frequency and timing systems may be considered in lieu of academic certifications.
• Strong analytical and engineering judgment, structured debugging and root-cause analysis skills, proficiency in statistical and data analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Drive the development and implementation of product test strategies, test programs, hardware solutions, characterization plans, qualification activities, and production test methods for new and existing products.
• Balance technical, quality, reliability, cost, schedule, supply chain, manufacturing, and customer requirements to deliver effective test solutions and product releases.
• Investigate and resolve complex product and test-related issues, using data-driven root cause analysis to improve yield, quality, reliability, and performance.
• Utilize software tools including LabVIEW, Python, and Django to design, debug, and troubleshoot systems and hardware level tests protocols.
• Assess technical data, risks, assumptions, and tradeoffs to make sound engineering decisions and provide clear recommendations to project and product stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align on technical approaches, resolve issues, and achieve product readiness and release objectives.
• Review and approve technical deliverables, including test plans, specifications, characterization and qualification results, engineering changes, deviations, and product release documentation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert by providing technical mentorship, guidance, and support to technicians, engineers, and project teams across the organization.
• Identify, qualify, and implement equipment needed to meet measurement, functional testing, monitoring, recording, calibration, and environmental requirements.
• Act as Level 2 technical support to directly assist Test Technicians.
