Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead a team of designers working on GTF diffuser and combustor milestones. You will oversee class I ECs, respond to field events, mentor engineers and coordinate with aero, durability, structures and manufacturing.

You will apply mechanical design engineering standard work and communicate with CIPT and program customers to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• 5 years of engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers executing on key deliverables for diffuser and combustor milestones.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and interface with aero, durability, structures, and manufacturing.
• Execute mechanical design engineering standard work and communicate with CIPT and customers.
