Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead a team delivering key GTF diffuser and combustor milestones. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with aero, durability, structures and manufacturing to ensure robust design solutions.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical design, GD&T proficiency, and experience with EC processes. Onsite work and interaction with CIPT and customers are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• 5 years of engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers executing on key deliverables in support GTF diffuser & combustor milestones including ECs, field events and investigations.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and interface with aero, durability, structures and manufacturing.
• Execute mechanical design engineering standard work and communicate with CIPT and program customers.
