Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Lead Engineer for Tooling, GSE and Infrastructure to lead a multidisciplinary team at the Middle River, MD facility. You will own tooling and test development for the Neutron launch vehicle, drive manufacturing enhancements, and coordinate cross-functional efforts with structures, facilities, and operations.

The role focuses on design for manufacture, test planning, and scaling production through capital projects, mentoring engineers, and ensuring qualified technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering (or other technical degree).
• 5+ years of engineering design experience.
• Experience in a leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Engineers responsible for tooling, GSE, and test for Neutron.
• Coordinate a team focused on production tooling, Ground Support Equipment, and testing.
• Develop training plans and manage major capital projects to scale production.
• Contribute to design reviews and act as an expert in design for manufacture, test, productivity, and supplier capability assessments.
