Job summary

Rocket Lab USA in Middle River, MD is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Composites to lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of composite manufacturing technologies for the Neutron launch vehicle structure.

You will design processes, define tooling, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate on safety, quality, and cost goals, with a base salary range of $115,000–$144,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• 5+ years of composite manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan, and implement composite manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Develop production processes with testing, health and safety procedures.
• Lead PM activities, design reviews, and root cause investigations.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians on the floor.
• Integrate automation and connect data to MRP and quality systems.
• Support facility projects and drive cost, safety, and delivery improvements.
