Job summary

Puget Sound Energy seeks a Senior Engineer - Electric Grid Asset Management to lead asset management programs and develop new initiatives across the electric grid. You will ensure asset value, manage risk, and coordinate with multiple groups to deliver reliable, cost-effective infrastructure.

Role involves reviewing guidelines, budgeting, and potential leadership of junior staff. Safety sensitive position with pre-employment drug screening; location near Bellevue, WA with strong growth in energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or PE license; candidate may have PE in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years in planning, design, cost estimating, and scheduling as a degreed engineer.
• Strong organization, documentation, and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and improves guidelines for application to existing problems.
• Prepares complex project portfolios addressing capital costs to align with asset management strategy.
• Plans and supports 5-year program budgets with documentation.
• Collaborates with business groups to document plans and develop Capital Spending approvals.
• Develops maintenance plans and coordinates with execution teams for implementation.
• Ensures compliance with codes, standards, and maintenance requirements.
• Documents and shares work to strengthen engineering workforce.
• Leads or coordinates junior engineers and technicians on projects.
