Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Vegetation Management Strategist to lead long-term vegetation management strategies that strengthen system reliability and reduce risk. You will collaborate with Vegetation Management, Wildfire Mitigation, Reliability, and Asset Management to develop data-driven work plans and evaluate technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in arboriculture, forestry, natural resources, environmental science, or related field.
• 8+ years of strategic planning experience at department or organizational level.
• Experience with utility vegetation management, reliability, or asset management programs.
• Experience developing risk-based work plans and long-range investment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for vegetation management using satellite imagery and program data to develop a roadmap.
• Manage relationships with vegetation analytics vendors and evaluate platforms.
• Develop annual work plans and prioritize vegetation activities aligned with reliability goals.
• Perform scenario modeling to balance cost, risk reduction, and reliability outcomes.
• Define KPIs and reporting standards for program performance and risk.
• Oversee dashboards and present findings to leadership.
