Job summary

EVgo seeks a Staff Engineer, Project Development to design and manage the deployment of fast-charging infrastructure from feasibility to construction. You’ll balance constructability, cost, and customer experience while leading cross-functional design initiatives.

With 8+ years of related experience and a PE/EIT plus PMP or equivalent, you’ll mentor junior engineers and coordinate with vendors, jurisdictions, utilities, and EVgo teams to deliver multiple projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a relevant degree, or 6+ years with a Master’s, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Demonstrated project management and engineering design experience across feasibility, permitting, and construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, site development, and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage deployment of EVgo fast-charging infrastructure from feasibility through permitting and construction.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver engineering deliverables and site packages.
• Lead cross-functional design initiatives and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Track progress with productivity metrics and manage a concurrent project portfolio.
