Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in operations, design or technical construction administration.
• Direct experience managing engineering consultants.
• New York State Professional Engineering license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in design, maintenance or operation of industrial boilers, chillers, heat pumps, geoexchange systems and/or thermal distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and project leadership for power, steam, hot water, and chilled water utility systems.
• Evaluate system condition and performance; develop renewal and upgrade strategies.
• Oversee design and construction activities; apply system modelling and lifecycle cost evaluation.
• Mentor engineers and project managers; collaborate with operations, maintenance, consultants, and campus stakeholders.
• Support commissioning, documentation control, regulatory compliance, and emergency response.
