Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Engineer 3 to act as a technical SME focused on value engineering, QA/QC, and independent judgment across utility-scale EPC projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA.

Specific location details will be discussed during interviews. Responsibilities include pursuit support, multi-discipline engineering coordination, permitting coordination with AHJs, and contract review for VE opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Solar focus preferred).
• Engineer-in-Training (F.E.) required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and scheduling tools like Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Perform all essential Engineer II responsibilities and document meeting minutes.
• Review RFPs and provide engineering and permitting input to estimating team.
• Coordinate design deliverables across internal and external stakeholders and manage schedules.
• Act as the single point of contact for engineering disciplines with stakeholders and review consultant proposals.
• Coordinate with AHJs and manage submittals and responses; assist in due diligence during RFP stages.
• Review EPC contract exhibits for value engineering opportunities and compliance with SOLV standards.
• Identify gaps in engineering processes and develop updates and training for the team.
