Job summary

SOLV Energy, a nationwide provider of solar, storage, and high voltage substation projects, seeks an Engineer 3 to act as SME in value engineering, QA/QC, and independent technical judgment on EPC projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA.

The incumbent will coordinate multi-discipline design efforts, review consultant deliverables, and support permitting and owner interfaces to ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Solar focus preferred).
• Engineer-in-Training (F.E.) certification/eligibility.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and scheduling tools like Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential Engineer II responsibilities.
• Document meeting minutes for engineering and permitting-related meetings and distribute action items.
• Review technical RFPs and provide engineering input to estimating team.
• Coordinate design deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage submittals and QA/QC across multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Assist in owner and consultant coordination meetings.
