Job summary

Zobility is seeking a Sr Engineer in Wisconsin to design, analyze, and optimize heavy duty vehicle components. You will perform engineering calculations, support senior engineers, and manage projects of limited scope while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3+ years of related experience and prefer a background in mechanical or electrical engineering. CAD experience is required for design work and analysis.

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering with three (3) or more years of related experience.
• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Preferred

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks according to Client as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
• Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
• Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity.
• May be responsible for managing multiple projects.
• Collaborate with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
• Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians working on a common project.
• Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
• Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards.
• Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
• Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records.
• Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Regular attendance is required.

• The Sr Engineer - designs functional, reliable and cost effective, heavy duty vehicle components.
• Perform engineering analysis and design or re-design, and development of components into existing and new vehicles.
• Provide integration and execution support for vehicle and component design.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
• Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records.
• Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs.
• Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering and communicate status via verbal or written communication.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred:

• Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
• Experience with a high level CAD system.

Education:

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.
• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Preferred
