Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Senior Engineer - Engine Validation to lead the development and execution of the engine validation plan for a major program. You will coordinate DV&DVP&R activities, collaborate with Engine Build and dyno cells for DV testing, and drive issue resolution with root-cause analysis.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in engine design/validation and experience with DFMEA and DVP&R. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, ABET accredited.
• 5 years minimum experience in Internal Combustion Engine component design, development and/or validation.
• At least 1 year of experience in engine validation or component or system validation.
• Understanding of DFMEA and DVP&R.
• Familiarity with automotive engine design, components, and testing.
• Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
• Key traits: Organized, Action Oriented, Dealing with Ambiguity, Customer Focus, Problem Solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop Engine DVP&R document for system level testing (engine dynamometer).
• Maintain build records and disposition or storage as needed.
• Coordinate engine assemblies to dyno cells for DV testing and Mule level vehicle builds.
• Lead development and improvement of DV and PV tests based on requirements and DFMEA/DVP.
• Provide expertise in investigation of validation issues and root-cause analysis.
• Review and publish test results to the wider team and Chief Engineer.
• Log incidents and create issues in S2IRIUS when needed.
• Report weekly on testing status until plan is signed off.
