Job summary

Brunswick seeks a Mechanical Development Principal Engineer to lead advanced engine development. You will own engine components and guide system-level decisions across development, influencing performance, durability, NVH, and cost.

The role demands strong technical judgment and hands-on mentoring of a diverse team. Based in a global marine technology environment, you will engage with suppliers, verify designs with DFMEAs and DVPs, and push for innovative, manufacturable concepts while balancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in internal combustion engines.
• Proven ownership of engine component or mechanical systems development.
• Broad understanding of overall engine system interactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop engine systems from concept to production.
• Advise on engine architecture for NA, supercharged, or turbocharged engines.
• Provide guidance on system layout and component selection.
• Develop DFMEAs and Design Validation Plans, then execute testing.
• Mentor team members and reinforce development best practices.
