Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Senior Component Development Engineer in Aiken, SC, to lead the design, analysis, and production release of core engine components for large diesel and natural gas engines used in power generation and industrial applications.

The role emphasizes component architecture, validation, and production hand-off, ensuring performance, durability, reliability, and cost objectives, with strong CAD and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in diesel or natural gas engine, power generation, heavy equipment, or industrial product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, drawings, BOMs, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, and production release of engine components and subsystems.
• Create and manage 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specs with configuration control.
• Develop DVP&Rs and validation criteria to meet durability, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and cost objectives.
