Job summary

Stellantis is seeking an Engine Calibration Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to define and deploy model-based and physics-based calibration methods for gasoline engines. You will create repeatable workflows, validation criteria, and model correlations to ensure robust emissions and performance targets.

Responsibilities include leading calibration methodology, defining release criteria, and mentoring engineers while coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive calibrated, production-ready

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • 5 years in gasoline engine calibration or model-based/physics-based development.
  • Experience on dyno calibration for Boosted/TJI engine technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of ICE subsystems and transient/emissions behavior.
  • Proficiency with ETAS INCA, MDA, dSPACE and MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsibilities

  • Lead gasoline base calibration methodology including torque, spark, knock, and airflow.
  • Define release-readiness criteria, checklists, and documentation standards.
  • Develop model-based/physics-based methods and virtual models to reduce testing.
  • Define model correlation across vehicle, dyno, HIL/SIL/MIL, and virtual data sets.
  • Standardize toolchain usage and document lessons learned for reuse.
