Job summary

Stellantis Auburn Hills is seeking an Engine Calibration Engineer to support development, validation, and continuous improvement of calibration methods across ICE, xHEV, and BEV applications.

You will assist methodology development, data analysis, model correlation, validation planning, and documentation to improve repeatability, quality, efficiency, range, fuel economy, drivability, and emissions readiness.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (required)
  • Experience in engine system development, calibration, controls, or physics-based modeling preferred
  • Prior base engine dyno calibration experience on boosted engines
  • Knowledge of ICE subsystems: combustion, valvetrain, fuel system, boost, EGR
  • Data acquisition from dyno/vehicle/HIL/ MIL data and basic MATLAB/Simulink proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Support gasoline base calibration methodology across torque, spark, knock, combustion, airflow, fuel, boost, VVT, EGR, idle and startability
  • Assist release-readiness checklists and documentation for calibration milestones
  • Document inputs, assumptions, limitations, and validation evidence for model-based methods
  • Correlate vehicle, dyno, HIL/SIL/MIL and virtual data to identify gaps between simulation and physical data
  • Collaborate with CoE, Controls, Emissions, Validation, and application calibration teams to improve methodologies
