Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead professional services sales, scope projects, and drive adoption across customers. You will partner with Sales, PS, and Customer Success to develop account strategies and close complex PS opportunities.

The role requires a BS degree, 5+ years in PS/tech sales, and fluency in Spanish and English. Remote position based in Spain with travel as needed; opportunities to influence delivery and growth are highlighted.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the sale of Professional Services and/or technology solutions at an enterprise software company.
• Experience as an architect, consultant, project manager, or Professional Services manager.
• Experience internally positioning and selling professional services.
• Experience carrying a quota for PS bookings.
• General knowledge of Databases (RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with software development lifecycle and methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
• Knowledge of software architecture including cloud and on-premise technologies (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Ability to collaborate within a larger account team to build and execute complex strategies.
• Ability to scope and estimate projects.
• Strong presentation skills to demonstrate value of service solutions.
• Willingness to travel for engagements and team offsites.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers’ portfolios and success measures to design transformation approaches with MongoDB technologies.
• Translate use-cases and pains into scoped projects and statements of work.
• Develop account strategies with the sales team for adoption, growth, and utilization of MongoDB services.
• Own deals from inception to closure and manage PS pipeline for bookings and revenue forecasts.
• Articulate business value of professional services and mitigate delivery risks.
• Create reusable assets (estimates, proposals, SOWs, templates, tools, case studies).
• Coordinate with delivery team to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor team members and share best practices.
• Maintain situational awareness and adapt in group settings.
