Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead Professional Services sales across our customer base, driving scope, proposals, and SOWs from inception to closure.

You will partner with Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success to design digital transformation engagements, quantify business value, and ensure successful delivery while expanding the services footprint globally from Frankfurt base.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS, Math, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years selling Professional Services and/or technology solutions at an enterprise software company.
• Experience as architect, consultant, project manager, or Professional Services manager.
• Experience internally positioning and selling professional services.
• Experience carrying a quota for PS bookings.
• General knowledge of databases (RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with software development lifecycle and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Knowledge of cloud and on-prem technologies (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Ability to collaborate on large account teams and build strategies.
• Ability to scope and estimate projects.
• Strong presentation skills to show value of service solutions.
• Willingness to travel for key engagements.
• Fluency in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers’ application portfolios and design transformation approaches with MongoDB technologies.
• Translate use-cases into scoped projects and statements of work.
• Partner with sales, PS, and customer success to develop account strategies and plans.
• Own deals from inception to closure and manage PS bookings pipeline.
• Articulate business value of professional services and mitigate delivery risks.
• Collaborate to create repeatable assets (estimates, proposals, SOWs, templates).
• Ensure smooth transition of scope to delivery and mentor teammates.
• Travel for key engagements and team offsites as needed.
