Vallourec North America in Houston is seeking a Senior Category Buyer to lead sourcing for electricity, natural gas, thread protectors, and other strategic categories. You will craft category strategies, run RFIs/RFPs, negotiate contracts, and drive total cost of ownership improvements.

Collaborate across Operations, Finance, Sustainability, Legal and Supply Chain to assess risks, model costs, and implement energy procurement and carbon-reduction initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10+ years of relevant experience substituted for degree.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• 3+ years of experience sourcing energy, thread protectors, or other strategic categories is preferred.
• Knowledge of electricity and natural-gas procurement concepts and utility billing structures.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and maintain category strategies for Electricity, Natural Gas, Thread Protectors, and other categories.
• Lead sourcing events, RFIs, RFQs, negotiations and supplier selection.
• Evaluate opportunities using total cost of ownership and long-term objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional feasibility studies with Operations, Finance, Sustainability, Legal and more.
• Monitor markets, perform financial analyses, and develop business cases for energy initiatives.
