Actalent is seeking an Integration Engineer in Durham, NC, for a contract-to-hire role focused on energy storage system integration. You will configure and validate software configurations, troubleshoot Modbus/DNP3 networks, and develop test plans to ensure system reliability in test and field environments.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in electrical or computer engineering, strong analytical skills, and experience with industrial communication protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Foundational understanding of three‑phase power systems and grid stability.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration and validation of software configurations against customer requirements.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial communications for energy storage systems (Modbus, DNP3).
• Develop and execute structured test plans to verify system functionality and reliability.
• Validate features in automated test platforms and hardware‑in‑the‑loop environments.
• Assist design engineering, system integration, and commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Read electrical diagrams and drawings to support integration activities.
• Assist with field assets configuration/validation (batteries, meters, relays).
• Use electrical test equipment for verification, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality energy storage solutions.
• Support AI‑driven tooling to streamline integration and deployment.
