Job summary

LGES Vertech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise in design and sizing of battery energy storage systems, coordinating between Sales, Proposals and Engineering teams.

You will review RFPs, determine optimal system sizing, prepare technical proposals, and lead technical contract exhibits and negotiations, ensuring solutions meet customer needs. This role requires collaboration with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders to secure technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required; five years in utility energy storage preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in utility energy storage industry.
• Experience writing complex utility-scale construction proposals.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• System-level expertise in energy technologies (PV, wind, batteries, etc.).
• Knowledge of lithium-ion batteries, electrical systems and control architectures.
• Familiarity with utility capital planning and regulatory processes.
• Excellent teamwork and cross-functional influence.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales/Proposal teams to define optimized technical and commercial solutions.
• Translate RFPs into actionable technical requirements.
• Perform technical system sizing using LGES-VT tools, considering performance, thermal and aging behavior.
• Write detailed technical proposals in response to customer RFPs.
• Lead technical contract exhibits and negotiations, including scope, deliverables and metrics.
• Present technical proposals to customers and address questions.
• Coordinate with client’s technical reps and agencies on interconnection requirements.
• Serve as primary technical contact throughout the sales process.
