Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Senior Solutions Developer to design and deliver energy solutions for commercial, municipal, and federal markets. You will lead technical development, perform energy and financial analyses, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.

You will manage client workshops, develop basis of design documents, and support business development while guiding project delivery through design, construction, and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, business, or related field.
• 10+ years in construction engineering with 5+ years delivering energy projects in federal/municipal markets.
• Ability to analyze energy savings and implement complex energy solutions (HVAC, water, renewables).
• Strong communication skills and leadership of diverse teams.
• Understanding of financial planning and business-case development.
• ESCO/energy industry experience in energy audits and analyses.
• Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, water-use, metering, and generation tech; energy modeling awareness.
• Willingness to travel ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate visits to customer sites to document energy performance and utility data.
• Collaborate with sales and operations on performance contracts development and execution.
• Identify opportunities for energy conservation and assist with savings calculations.
• Develop basis of design and documentation for ECMs with savings and cost data.
• Provide leadership in development activities and support design, scope, and O&M.
• Coordinate with internal/external design resources for bid docs, cost estimates, and specs.
• Guide proposals, reports, cost estimates, and presentations.
• Prepare financial models including ROI and life-cycle costing for client projects.
• Support engineering studies for Southland Energy as needed.
