Job summary

Calibrant Energy seeks a Senior Business Development Director to drive commercial growth by originating, structuring, and closing large-scale distributed energy projects for enterprise and data centers.

The role requires a seasoned sales leader with a track record in complex renewables transactions, executive stakeholder management, and cross-functional alignment. Travel up to 25% across North America is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business development, commercial sales, or strategic partnerships in renewable energy/distri­buted generation/energy infrastructure.
• Experience selling into Fortune 500 clients with navigation of complex procurement processes.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV, battery energy storage, linear generators, and microgrid systems.
• Proven ability to negotiate and close complex agreements (PPAs, ESAs, LOIs).
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to influence executive stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% across North America.

Responsibilities

• Originate and lead large-scale sales opportunities with Fortune 500 industrial and data center clients.
• Lead negotiations for PPAs, ESAs, and other complex contracts.
• Partner with engineering, project finance, and operations teams to build bankable solutions.
• Maintain a disciplined and transparent pipeline, with accurate forecasting and reporting.
